Research Blog #7: Frame
Three academic concepts that allowed me to look more into this topic were: privatization, meritocracy, and neoliberalism.
1. Neoliberalism is the base of my research as my point was discovering the similarities and differences of neoliberalism and socialism.
2. When discussing neoliberalism, I had to talk about privatization to prove that neoliberalism was favoring the market over the needs of students
3. Meritocracy is choosing students based on their merit. This concept gave me sense of my project because it make me wonder who believes they follow meritocracy and look into the similarities between the U.S. and Sweden.
Of my academic sources, the most important that refers to these concepts is the journal about meritocracy in United States and Norway.
